The following Privacy Policy is prepared to outline our practices with respect to collecting, using, and disclosing your information when you use the RocketBit platform.
Your privacy matters to us so whether you are new to RocketBit or a long-time customer, please do take the time to get to know and familiarize yourself with our policies and practices. All comunications in which individuals share their personal data with Rocketbit OU, the communication is protected by a SSL secure log protocol technology.
COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION
There are three categories of personal information collected by our system when you access the RocketBit platform.

1. AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFERRED INFORMATION SENT FROM YOUR COMPUTER OR MOBILE DEVICE.
This information is commonly collected by most any website you visit and may include:
  • Online Identifiers, such as IP address, domain name;
  • Geolocation data;
  • Device information, such as hardware, operating system, browser;
  • Usage data, such as system activity, internal and external information related to RocketBit pages that you visit, clickstream information.
2. PERSONAL CONTACT AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION WILLINGLY PROVIDED
We may collect the following categories of Personal Information directly from you:
  • Identification Information, such as name, surname, email, phone number, postal address, government identification numbers (driver’s license number/passport number);
  • Commercial Information, such as trading activity, order activity, deposits, withdrawals, account balances;
  • Financial Information, such as bank account information, routing number.
3. INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR TRANSACTIONS AND WEBSITE ACTIVITIES
All of your account activity is logged in the system. This includes your pending and past transactions, currency balances, withdrawals and deposits. This is to protect your account as well as other RocketBit account holders from fraud as well as malicious software and security breaches such as by spyware or other malware that may cause harm to you or other RocketBit users.

4. GDPR COMPLIANCE.
The processing of Personal Data is performed in accordance with the regulations posed by the EU Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 (the Directive), and the implementations of the Directive in the Estonian legislation. From May 25th, 2018, the Directive and Estonian legislation based on the Directive was replaced by the Regulations (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data processing performed by the Company is made in accordance with GDPR.

RocketBit processes Personal Data as a Controller (hence, the Company determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data), as postulated in the Directive and the GDPR:  
  • RocketBit, which you as a Visitor enter an agreement with when accessing the RocketBit’s platform as a Visitor, will act as a Controller for Visitors data, as outlined above in “AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFERRED INFORMATION SENT FROM YOUR COMPUTER OR MOBILE DEVICE” section. Only the data listed in the aforementioned section would be collected from a Visitor.
  • For Users data, as outlined in the “Collection of Users data” section, Rocketbit would act as the Controller in accordance with GDPR. The Users Data shall be processed by a third party Processor – Sum and Substance, to collect and process Users’ data on behalf of Rocketbit. Sum and Substance is an identity verification company that will process personal data of a User for the purposes of the necessary KYC/AML procedures. Sum and Substance will obtain and process users’ private information in accordance with the section “PERSONAL CONTACT AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION WILLINGLY PROVIDED”, provided above. Sum and Substance is a certified personal data verification company having sufficient experience and technical means to implement appropriate technology and organisational measures in such a manner that processing will both ensure compliance with the requirements of GDPR and protect the rights and the private information of a User.

Rocketbit has data processing agreement established with Sum and Substance, ensuring compliance with GDPR. Sum and Substance stores private data on GDPR – compliant servers. All transfers of data internally is done in accordance with the data processing agreement.
Following the Directive of 1995 and the GDPR from May 25th, 2018, and ensuring the compliance with it, Rocketbit processes data with the help of a third – party data Processor Sum and Substance from users located in EU, EEA and Switzerland only.


STORING AND PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION
The information discussed in this privacy policy is limited to personal information that may be used to identify a specific person. This differs from anonymous information, which cannot in any way be used to identify you. All the information we store that may in any way be used to identify you is treated with the greatest degree of caution. Your security is of primary importance to us. We prevent using all the technology available to us any unauthorized use, access, leak, changes, or loss to your personal information.
To this end, we store all client information in secure environments. Blockchain information is stored in cold storage, offline. We comply with all regional and international laws in terms of the safeguarding all of our clients privacy and information. We restrict access to our entire infrastructure both physical and online. We authorize access to client information only to staff who require access to fulfil their job responsibilities. All staff with access to sensitive information are monitored. We will not share your Personal Information with third parties, except as described below:
  • Service Providers. We may share your Personal Information with third-party service providers for business or commercial purposes. Your Personal Information may be shared so that they can provide us with services, including identity verification, fraud detection and prevention, security threat detection, payment processing, customer support, data analytics, Information Technology, advertising, marketing, data processing, network infrastructure, storage, transaction monitoring, and tax reporting. We share your Personal Information with these service providers only so that they can provide us with services, and we prohibit our service providers from using or disclosing your Personal Information for any other purpose. Our third-party service providers are subject to strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Law Enforcement. We may be compelled to share your Personal Information with law enforcement, government officials, and regulators.
  • Corporate Transactions. We may disclose Personal Information in the event of a proposed or consummated merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, or similar corporate transaction, or in the event of a bankruptcy or dissolution.
  • Professional Advisors. We may share your Personal Information with our professional advisors, including legal, accounting, or other consulting services for purposes of audits or to comply with our legal obligations.
  • Consent. We may share or disclose your information with your consent.
If we decide to modify the purpose for which your Personal Information is collected and used, we will amend this Privacy Policy.
We securely store all client information throughout the duration of your use of RocketBit as well as for up to five years afterward in order to comply with all laws and resolve any disputes regarding transaction history.

USING YOUR INFORMATION
The information we collect is primarily intended to facilitate account access and provide smooth functionality of the site and its features. We may use your Personal Information to:
  • Provide you with our services. We use your Personal Information to provide you with our Services pursuant to the terms of our User Agreement. For example, in order to facilitate fiat transfers into and out of your account, we need to know your financial information.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements. We process your Personal Information as required by applicable laws and regulations. For example, we have identity verification requirements to fulfil our obligations under the anti-money laundering laws of numerous jurisdictions.
  • Detect and prevent fraud. We process your Personal Information to detect and prevent fraud on your account, which is especially important given the irreversible nature of cryptocurrency transactions.
  • Protect the security and integrity of our services. We use your Personal Information to further our security-first mentality. Maintaining the security of your account and the Exchange requires us to process your Personal Information, including information about your device and your activity on the Exchange, and other relevant information.
  • Provide you with customer support. We process your Personal Information anytime that you reach out to our Customer Support team with issues arising from your account.
  • Optimize and enhance our services. We use your Personal Information to understand how our products and Services are being used to help us improve our Services and develop new products.
  • Market our products to you. We may contact you with information about our Products and Services. We will only do so with your permission, which can be revoked at any time.
  • Other business purposes. We may use your information for additional purposes if that purpose is disclosed to you before we collect the information or if we obtain your consent.
  • RocketBit.io will not make use of your personal information in any way other than the above listed purposes except with your expressed permission. We may request such permission in rare instances where, for instance, sharing your information may improve our services or facilitate joint services. You will always be given the chance to accept or decline the sharing of your information in this way.

USING YOUR INFORMATION FOR MARKETING
RocketBit does not for any reason share or sell our clients’ personal information to any third parties for the purpose of marketing. All contact that we make with our clients is related to your account and notifications relating to transactions or other changes. Any communication that we make that is for marketing or not related specifically to your account will come with an unsubscribe option included. You will always be able to opt out of any type of communication from us, except for specific account notifications.

USING COOKIES
Cookies are typically stored on your computer's hard drive, which assigns a unique identification to your computer. We also may use cookies stored in emails to help us confirm your receipt of, and response to. We also may use service provider(s) who will place cookies on the hard drive of your computer and will receive information that we select that will give us information about the way our users and visitors navigate on our site, what products are browsed, and general transaction information.
Information collected from cookies is used by us to evaluate the effectiveness of our site, analyse trends, see what difficulties our visitors may experience in accessing our site, and administer the platform. We need this information to improve the quality of our service.
